Q: How does this process work?

A: Everything is done online! You fill out the registration form and pay online. Once you’ve paid, you’ll get a confirmation email. (If you don’t see it after a few minutes, please check your spam folder.) We’ll then mail the parking pass to the address you provided.

Q: Do you still have spaces available?

A: We do often sell out of spaces due to the limited amount we can offer each semester. However, our website will show you when we’re sold out. So if you are able to register and pay, that means we still have spaces available.

Q: Do you sell spaces for the whole year?

A: No, we only sell one semester at a time. First right of refusal for spring spaces goes to our fall students. Once fall students have a chance to renew for the spring, any remaining spaces will be opened to the public.

Q: What happens if I sign up for a parking space but need to park immediately and there isn’t time to have my pass mailed to me?

Q: What is the address of the parking lot?

Q: How far are you located from campus?

A: We are approximately one mile from East Campus.

Q: Will I have access to my car at all times?

A: Yes, the lot is accessible to students 24/7.

Q: Am I guaranteed to have a parking space?

A: Yes! We would never sell more parking spaces than we can accommodate.

Q: Where does my parking pass go?

A: Your parking pass should be be displayed from the rearview mirror with the number facing out. The pass should be visible at all times.

Q: What happens if I get a new car?

A: Please notify us any time you bring a different car back to the parking lot so that we can update our records. If you fail to notify us about a new vehicle, we are not responsible should the vehicle get towed.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: We do not give refunds. Please review our terms of service.

Q: Do you tow?

A: Yes. If you are parked in the lot without a parking pass displayed, you will be towed at your expense.

Q: Is there bus service to campus?

A: Yes! The same bus service that takes students around campus will also take them to and from the parking lot. There are two bus stops (one in front of Target and one behind Target). For more information, visit the HDPT website.

Q: When it snows, does the lot get plowed?

A: Yes, the lot is plowed when it snows.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Freshmen Parking is run by two JMU alumni, and we have been in business since 2008.
